Day 1: Arrival in Rome - Night Tour
Welcome to Italy the Land of the Mystique! On arrival in Rome, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax. Rome comes alive at night and you will not miss the opportunity to see its most beautiful monuments illuminated. In the evening you will be taken to enjoy this panoramic Rome Illuminations tour which starts at around 1900 hours. Some of the sights you pass by include The Fountain of the Nayads, The Exhibition Palace, Piazza Venezia with its Tomb to the Unknown Soldier and the Capitoline Hill. Glimpse the Imperial Roman Age as you drive by and admire the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and the Circus Maximus. Leap into the Papal era when, driving along the banks of the Tiber, you see the Jewish Quarter complete with synagogue and the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo closeby that heralds your approach to St. Peter’s. Set in the ancient Aurelian Walls that frame part of the Villa Borghese park, you’ll see a couple of the most beautiful gateways in Rome: Porta Flaminia through which you can admire the Piazza del Popolo and Porta Pinciana, through which you reach the famous Via Veneto symbol of “la dolce vita” in Rome.
Day 2: Sistine Chapel and Vatican
The tour begins by coach passing through Piazza della Repubblica with the Fountain of the Nayads and following the ancient Aurelian walls which once surrounded the ancient city. En route you will see the famous Villa Borghese park and the northern gate of the ancient city leading into Piazza del Popolo where you will see an Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramses II. Finally, on arrival at the Vatican Walls, your guide will then lead you into the Vatican Museums* taking the beautiful Spiral staircase and continuing through the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps before arriving in the famous Sistine Chapel* with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo. Return to the vicinity of your hotel. On the return the bus will stop at Via Veneto,Piazza Barberini,Piazza Venezia, Piazza Cavour, Termini Station.
Day 3: Rome to Naples
Today morning, check-out from your hotel and walk to the nearby rail station for your journey to Naples. Upon arrival at the train station, reach your centrally-located hotel (on your own). The remainder of the day is at your leisure to begin to explore this grand city of the Renaissance. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Full Day Amalfi Coast
Have the chance to visit the best towns and views of the Amalfi Coast developing through 75 serpentine km. The twisty road, suspended between the sea and the slopes of Lattari mountains, offers a shocking view the overhanging shore, famous in the entire world as typical Italian panorama. You will have the chance to snap many landscapes pictures in the many short-time stops. Drive to coast of Sorrento and photo stops. Drive to Amalfi coast and photo stop of Positano. Drive from Positano long the coast to reach restaurant. Enjoy a lunch in a restaurant overlooking the sea and than relax yourself visiting Amalfi town centre where you can have enough free time to shopping around and to visit the beautiful cathedral of St. Andrew. At the end of the tour you will reach Ravello town, that is a top hill town overlooking on the entire coast. Here you will have other free time to spend as you prefer as going in the amazing Villa Rufolo gardens.
Day 5: Full Day Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius
Feel as if you have travelled back in time as you explore the ruins of Pompeii (entrance tickets not included)and admire how the ancient Romans lived and appreciate the level of civic progress and artistic skills they had reached so many years ago. After the fall of the Roman Empire such levels of progress were only reached in the 17th and 18th century. Enjoy spectacular views over the bay of Naples as you make your way to a traditional restaurant, where you will savour Italy´s finest dish. Pizza. Continue ascending Mt. Vesuvius until you reach 1000 metres and take in the unusual beauty such as pine forests and lush woods, bright yellow flowers and an uncanny volcanic landscape. Explore the active volcano with your tour guide (entrance tickets not included), admire the breath-taking views and discover the best of Mt. Vesuvius National Park.As you descend, reflect on the beauty and ferocity of mother nature as you make your way back to Naples after an eye-opening and jaw-dropping adventure on the second most dangerous volcano in the world.
Day 6: Discover Capri from Naples
You will depart from Naples for a relaxing trip of one hour before taking the boat to reach the island. Here you can freely explore and discover Capri, walk aimlessly in the alleys of the center, relive ancient times among the archaeological finds of Villa Jovis and a hike to Monte Solaro.Then the wonderful view by boat around the island, after the Salto di Tiberio you see the Faraglioni. It is said that all couples exchanging a kiss under the arch will stay together forever. Numerous fascinating caves, including the Green Grotto, named for the emerald water reflections. Among other destinations recommended are the Punta Carena Lighthouse, the second largest in Italy, the Blue Grotto and the Natural Arch. There are several planned stops for swimming and snorkeling. Port of Marina Grande with a stop of 4/5 hours to explore the island of Capri. After, come aboard and enjoy relaxing and tasting limoncello.
Day 7: Departure from Naples
Today morning checkout from your hotel and you will be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight back.
